Fraunhofer Institute of Production Technology, Deutschland
Research Project Intern -- March 2024 to Present
I am working with MS-SQL databases to clean, process and transform data. Leveraging the powerful Python Pandas framework, I perform data visualization and feature extraction, including Principal Component Analysis (PCA), to uncover insights.
Additionally, I am developing outlier detection models, such as One-class SVM and Autoencoders, to identify anomalies and ensure data integrity.
Fraunhofer Institute of Production Technology, Deutschland
Research Assistant (Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft) -- April 2023 to Present
Developing a robust pipeline for noise reduction in images, followed by feature extraction and processing using Python libraries such as OpenCV, PyTorch, etc.
Utilizing Meta's Vision Transformer-based Segment Anything Model (SAM) for advanced semantic segmentation, combined with traditional computer vision techniques to accurately extract edges and identify notable clusters in images.
University of Auckland, New Zealand
Student Researcher (Thesis) -- January 2022 to May 2022
Simulated fully actuated robotic hands in the MuJoCo physics engine at the New Dexterity lab under Dr. Minas Liarokapis.
Completed a comparative study of the position of the grasped object after mapping the robotic hand movement in real life to the movement in the MuJoCo engine.
National Institute of Technology Surathkal, India
Student Researcher (Thesis) -- August 2021 to December 2021
Worked on the Modelling and Simulation of the Lower Limb Exoskeleton as part of my undergraduate thesis.
I utilized MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape to model the human upper body. Additionally, I briefly worked on the integration of the upper body with the lower body.
Henkel Adhesives Technologies India Private Limited
Summer Intern -- May 2019 to July 2019
Analyzed the factory’s warehouse storage capacity and transportation patterns and recommended measures to increase capacity. Recommended measures to increase production and cut down on transportation costs at the factory.
Visual Lane Following for Scaled Automated Vehicles
RWTH Aachen University -- April 2024 to Present
As part of ACDC(Automated and Connected Driving Challenges) Research Project, I am working in a team of four students to develop lane following algorithms for a Scaled Vehicle of 1/10th size.
I have worked on classical lane detection using Sobel and Canny Edge filters. In addition, I am working on the semantic segmentation of the drivable area using deep learning models.
Machine Learning in Galaxy and Structure Formation
BITS Pilani -- January 2021 to May 2021
I implemented a ‘Decision Trees Regressor’ algorithm that predicted the redshift of galaxies using the Galaxy Zoo database.
Additionally, I performed the classification of galaxies into different types (spiral, elliptical and merger) using Decision Trees and Random Forests classification algorithms.
